About 3 year(s) ago by MediaConnect

Celebrate an Unforgettable Labor Day in Savannah

Everyone’s favorite late-summer holiday is almost here – the perfect time to cut loose and relax before the seasons change. No stranger to holiday celebrations and reasons to party, Savannah Labor Day events truly have something for everyone. Here’s a convenient guide of what to do when:

First Friday Fireworks & BACON FEST!!!

September 4th & 5th

Historic River Street

A Savannah warm weather staple, First Fridays & Saturdays on the River bring local art and live music to the waterfront every March through December, this weekend being no exception. In fact, it’ll be better than ever, as the 2nd Annual Bacon Fest takes over Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, steps away from our hotel. With the city’s most popular restaurants serving every pork-packed dish imaginable – from bacon brownies, sundaes, and chocolate covered bacon, to bacon burgers and popcorn – you’ll want to bring your appetite. But just in case you’ve had your fill of swine, you can always feast your eyes on First Friday Fireworks, shimmering over the river around 9:30pm.

The 8th Annual Savannah Craft Crew Fest

September 5th

1 International Drive

The Savannah International Trade & Convention Center hosts this all-day celebration of craft beer on Saturday the 5th. Enjoy unlimited 2-ounce glasses of 150+ delicious brews from around the world in multiple beer gardens, many with awesome views of the Savannah skyline. Your $45-$60 admission includes all tastings, as well as an array of seminars, a Cornhole Tournament, and side-splitting Silent Disco.

Tybee Island Labor Day Beach Bash

September 6th

Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion

Join Savannah locals for a day at the beach, just a half-hour drive from our hotel. Savor an afternoon of surf, sand and sun, followed by a night of live music and holiday fireworks over the Atlantic.
