Explore the World of Modern Art at the Jepson Center

Did you know Savannah has a renowned collection of modern art? The Jepson Center features one of the finest collection in the Southern US. With a creative lineup of rotating exhibitions, there's always something exciting to see on the walls here.

As part of the historic Telfair Museums with over 4,500 works in their collection, the Jepson Center is home to a world-class collection of art. The galleries feature a mix of everything from photography and American Southern art to African-American art and sculpture. One of the highlights is the Bird Girl statue by Sylvia Shaw Judson that was featured on the cover of the acclaimed novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

The museum is located just a few blocks from our hotel in the Savannah Historic District. There is a checkroom, so you can bring a small bag or backpack with you. You can walk there in less than 10 minutes, so you can visit during a full day of sightseeing or just make a quick trip. It's easy to squeeze the Jepson Center into your Savannah itinerary when you stay at Best Western.

Tickets to the Jepson Center are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (65+), and $15 for students with ID. Children 12 and under are free. The museum is open every day (except some major holidays) from 10 am to 5 pm weekdays and 12 pm to 5 pm on Saturday and Sundays. Check the events calendar for special tours, talks, and exhibitions.
