Autumnal Savannah Festivals & Tybee Island Events
Fall is in the air, evenings just a little cooler, with a pervasive sense of calm after the wild ride of summer vacations. Of course, that doesn't mean the fun is over - not when there are so many fun festivals in Savannah, no matter the time of year! Keep the warm weather spirit alive and head to our favorite beach getaway and neighbor escape, Tybee Island. Events this coming weekend include the Annual Fall Festival and a first-ever Coastal Arts Fair. Here's a little more about each:
Tybee Lighthouse Fall Festival 2015
September 26th, 12pm-5pm
30 Meddin Drive
Tybee Island, GA 31328
An annual tradition at the island's iconic landmark, expect TONS of family fun - everything from bouncy ballrooms and obstacle courses, to a cake walk and everyone's favorite carnival treats. Local vendors will be on-site with unique, handmade wares as well, so come ready to shop, play, and soak in the early-autumn day!
Coastal Arts Fair
September 26th, 10am
(Btwn 405 Butler & 202 5th St.)
This inaugural celebration of coastal-themed art on Tybee promises to draw more than 40 artists from across the Southeast to peaceful Memorial Park. The fair is preceded by the Night of the Golden Flip-Flop fundraiser event (7 Cedarwood Drive), 7-9pm on Friday the 25th. Tickets are $35 apiece, affording guests a sneak-peak at featured artwork, a cash bar with one FREE drink, live jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a wacky photo booth - all just a short drive from the warm oasis of our Historic District hotel.
