It's late-September, and music is in the air, drifting from the city's famous hotspots and into the streets for all to hear. If you're looking for FREE concerts in Savannah, you picked the right time to visit "The Hostess City of the South." The 34th Annual Savannah Jazz Festival is a weeklong celebration of America's favorite original art form. Hosted at five of the most popular live music venues in town, it all leads up to the day-long party in Forsyth Park on the 26th, just 5 minutes from our Historic District hotel. To help you plan your stay, here's a breakdown of what's happening where and when:

Johnny Harris Restaurant

1651 East Victory Drive

September 20th, 2pm

A Savannah treasure since 1924, Johnny's is known for their finger-licking BBQ and crispy fried chicken. It's also host to the Jazz Fest kickoff concert!

Jazz'd Tapas Bar

52 Barnard Street

September 21st, 7:30pm

Steps away from your room, this subterranean gem has a reputation as one of the "sexiest places in the world," per Cosmopolitan magazine. Sidle up for some first-rate plates, made all the more delicious by Latin jazz.

Rancho Alegre

402 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

September 22nd & 23rd, 7:30pm

September 26th, 11pm

Only half a mile from the hotel sits this 16-year Cuban mainstay, pouring mojitos and groovy tunes three times throughout the week.

Casimir's Lounge

700 Drayton St

September 24th & 25th, 7pm

Live jazz and a pair of late-night jam sessions await at this chic parkside bar with a rooftop terrace.

Forsyth Park

Drayton St & East Park Ave

September 26th, 3pm

The 30-acre historic heart of Savannah is host to the festival's namesake outdoor event, as six acts take the stage into deep into the night.
