Savannah Art Exhibits: The Art of Diplomacy Opens April 24

Starting April 24, admire artwork created by one of the world's most famous leaders. While Sir Winston Churchill is best known as a British wartime hero in the 1940s and 1950s, the historical figure also had a way with the paintbrush. On display at the Jepson Center through July 26, The Art of Diplomacy: Winston Churchill and the Pursuit of Painting exhibit honors late Prime Minister on the 50th anniversary of his death.

Stroll along and take a look at artifacts from the past, including photographs, letters, and even some of Churchill's personal belongings preserved by relatives. Explore the relationship between his World War II policies and his evolution as a creative painter. Museumgoers are sure to gain some insights and perspective into one of the most influential leaders of the 21st century. The art exhibit has been touring throughout the state of Georgia, and this Savannah institute will be its last stop.
