Savannah Event - Juneteenth Jubilee! Family Celebration

Featuring a full roster of local luminaries, creative activities and entertainment, the Juneteenth Jubilee! Family Celebration is a free family event that honors the summer holiday. Taking place June 13, the event features numerous guest speakers and storytellers, live performances, and painting demonstrations. Kids will enjoy making arts and instruments, and the day will finish with traditional drumming and a DJ for dancing. Highlights of the Juneteenth Jubilee! Family Celebration include:

•    Opening Ceremony
•    Performance by Jamal Toure as the African Spirit
•    Storytelling by Queen Quet of the Gullah Geechee Nation
•    Storytelling by Mitch Capel, aka Gran'Daddy Junebug
•    Presentation by Luther Vann
•    Children's Art & Instrument Making Activities
•    Painting Demonstrations by Amiri Farris
•    Traditional Basket Making by Gregory Grant
•    Traditional Drumming
•    DJ for Dancing
•    Free Admission
