  • Can I take A Tour?

    Yes, in fact it is recommended. Fort Pulaski offers both guided and self-guided tours. Guided fort tours last between 45-60 minutes. You will start your tour at the park visitor center, then watch a short film "The Battle for Fort Pulaski," and learn all about the historic monument through various displays and exhibits. Film shows on the hour and half-hour starting at 9 am and run until 4:30 pm. Nature walks last 30-45 minutes and meet at the Visitor Center, while Ranger Programs last 20-30 minutes.
  • When is it the best time to visit the Fort?

    Due to the warmer weather in Georgia, Fort Pulaski can be toured any time of the year. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy the Fort as well as all of the fun on Tybee Island, however summer tends to be the busiest and the hottest. The winter months offer perfect weather with not as much foot traffic.
